Sophisticated, dignified, thoughtful and special all rolled up into one
|
A dignified and sophisticated visitor always brings a gift. It is the proper thing to do when someone invites you into his or her home. Since I am not always dignified and my sophistication is based solely on my mood that day, I sometimes forget to be a gracious guest and express my appreciation with a little more than a Thank You. Since I am working on leaving a long lasting impression on B, I decided to get him a special housewarming/host gift. Now if we wanna get all technical, B does not have a house yet. But he is working on it and so far things are looking in his favor. And if you wanna get even more technical, we will be staying in his hotel room that is being paid for by his job. Yeah, I know it doesnt sound much like a true host, but whatever. The entertainment that I am really looking forward to only requires a bed and/or sturdy chair and if both of those things are missing, I will be quite content on the floor. As I mentioned, I am trying to leave an impression after all, this could be that last time we see each other for a while unless some things change. After nearly racking my brain on what to get B, I finally thought of the perfect gift. I found it at Macy*s on sale :) Now I just wanna get a nice cognac to go with itbut have absolutely no idea how to pick out cognac. I suppose I could pick out the cognac the same way I pick out shoes. Whichever one looks the cutest and is priced reasonably. See, I really am dignified and thoughtful and special and all that other good shit. Hmpwho knew? |
