If only I had self control....
|
Two hundred fifty eight dollars and thirty-two cents later and still no Christmas gifts for anyone other then myself. The guilt I had Wednesday about buying for myself and not others went away. It all started yesterday at work. I was Internet browsing and came across this: . Perfect for the family Christmas party or perhaps even New Years Eve (granted of course I do something for the holiday besides sit in the house). I continued my looking and found this: The outfit would not be near complete without the perfect shoes I had a 15% coupon, which covered my shipping and served as the perfect excuse to order the goodies.I wish I had the self-control to stop there. But of course I have lots and lots of reasons why I HAD to have the other things that I bought. For example I HAD to have the grayish/purple Nine West dress pants from Nordstroms Rack. The pants are normally priced at $94 and I got them for only $49. And they FIT! I have a hard enough time finding pants that are long enough and fit over all my curves so when I find a decent pair in a rather unusual but gorgeous color, I have to HAVE them. I am sick of the same old colors that I am forced to wear. I guess clothing makers figure if your big and tall that you should shy away from anything but black, gray, brown and khaki. Of course I also had to have the festive silver and black velour wrap shirt that will be perfect for our Christmas brunch at the Radisson. My goal for the weekend is to wrap up the Christmas shopping but this time concentrate on everyone but me. Wish me luck! |
