Almost as normal as I can possible be
|
I am almost back to normal. It has been a very long time since I have had a cold like the one that I had last week. A cold that took nearly a week to fully recover from and I still feel the need to blow my nose every now and then. I now know that flying and colds do not mix. But margaritas made with yummy tequila help clear up nasal congestion. New Mexico---the so-called Land of Enchantment was nice. Santa Fe was a small peaceful little town with very little in the way of excitement going on. Perfect for the elderly and the Hippie/Gypsy/Au Natural type. Not so perfect for a Diva. But I enjoyed it all the same and would even make future plans to visit the dessert again. It was simply beautiful and a nice get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Mr. Man picked me up from the airport and I was all too happy to be back in his arms again. Now I am being forced to play the nurturing mortherly/wifey/care giver to him. Over the last 24 hours he has caught some type of nasty bug. He called me at 6:30 this morning because he has not been able to sleep all night and has been having night sweats, chills and a fever. Even though I was looking forward to another 50 minutes of sleep, I got up and got dressed in order to drive all the way across town to stop at the Wal-Mart located near his house and pick up $15 dollars worth of chicken noodle soup, ginger ale along with day and night time cold/flu medicine. I dropped it off at his house, made sure he got the proper dosage of medicine and was neatly tucked in bed before I headed to work. So is that what I have to look forward to as a married mother of two??? HmmmI may have to rethink that whole idea. |
