Quarter century and counting
|
The birthday is turning out to better than I expected. I got the first phone call around 7:30 this morning. Just as I left for work. The caller is of little importance at this time. But it was nice to know he was thinking of me. The second call came around 7:50 from Rie. I get to the office and open my e-mail to find the best birthday card from a person I have never met. Thanks Miathe card was beautiful It meant so much to me. You are the best! Around 9:30 or so, Mom calls, once on the cell phone then on the work phone. She also sent me a dozen of these: Aint she the best?? The sweet treats arrived at my office this morning. Of course I was shocked surprised and very excited. The strawberries look almost to pretty to eat. My new co-workers took me out to lunch. We went to the Huki Lau, a really cute Polynesian restaurant. The food and the atmosphere were quite nice. I had just made it back to the office and happened to see an old co-worker wlaking down the street. While standing outside talking to him, another old co-worker pulled up and steps out of her truck with a bunch of balloons and a card. I open the card and the staff from my old job had signed it. Now aint I special! Tonight me and the girls are going out to eat. This weekend we will attempt to make our way to the bay to get our boggy on. So far the day is going well. Im finally in the quarter century club. And so far it aint that bad. I had planned on going through this whole reflection entry today. But I think it can wait. Im in a damn good mood and Im not trying to spoil it. Thanks Trill-Shawty for the birthday wishes. Your new house is gorgeous! |
